Herb Bains of Sequim passed away at the age of 84 in Seattle, Washington, on November 17, 2013.
He was born on April 1, 1929, in Ganeshpur, India.
He worked as an electrical engineer with Boeing and after retiring joined the Boeing Bluebills, a volunteer organization.
On April 18, 1985, he married Dorothy Bains.
He loved his family and outdoor activities. He also enjoyed spending time at SARC and visiting with friends.
He leaves behind his wife, Dorothy; sons Steve, Paul and David; daughters Sheri and Neena; and many members of his extended family.
A viewing will take place on Saturday, November 23, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel, 108 West Alder Street. A celebration of life officiated by Pastor Jack Anderson will take place at Dungeness Valley Lutheran Church, 925 North Sequim Avenue, Sequim, on Sunday, November 24, at 1 p.m.
A reception will follow the service at SunLand Golf & Country Club, 109 Hilltop Drive, Sequim.
