Kristy Ilona Ramirez was born with a bang on July 4, 1947, in Everett, Washington.
Soon after, her family moved to Port Angeles, where she grew up and graduated in 1965. A year later, she was married and had her first of three children.
She spent the next two decades raising her children and moving all over the place, from Brainerd, Minnesota, to Santa Maria, California, and many places in between. In 1979, she was back in her hometown of Port Angeles.
She met and married Thomas Ramirez in 1986. They moved to Winthrop, Washington, for several years, but again, the Northwest was calling her home.
They moved back to Sequim in 1992 to be close to her grandkids. It was around this time that they started their own business, Peninsula Estate Sales.
Kristy loved antiques, dancing, cooking, camping, dogs, her family and her Lord. She went to be with her savior on April 30, 2013, after a two-year battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Tom Ramirez; three children, Dawnya Textor, Denna Sanders and Dean Sanders; her mother, Lorraine Ross; and a brother, Mac Ross. She has three grandchildren, Justine Wagner, John Textor and Joshua Sanders.
Her service will be held Sunday, May 5, at 2 p.m. at Dungeness Community Church, 45 Eberle Lane in Sequim. Friends and family are welcome to join us in the celebration of her life.
