Leonard Robert Forbes(March 27, 1955 - February 10, 2014)

Leonard Robert Forbes passed away at the age of 58 at his Clallam Bay home.

He was born on March 27, 1955, to Kenneth G. and LaVada Gaylene Forbes in Salt Lake City, Utah.

After graduating from high school, he served with the U.S. Army from 1974 to 1976 as private first class. He also took some college classes with a focus on auto body work.

He worked at Lamb Weston Food Services and J.R. Simplot in Hermiston, Oregon, and Tum-A-Lum Lumber Company in Hermiston.

In 1986, he married Ann Marrs in Reno, Nevada.

Leo loved camping, fishing and cooking, and could frequently be found in various secondhand stores looking for old cookbooks. He also enjoyed playing games on the computer. He was also a member of the Elks.

In the Army, Leo served as a cook. Years later, he was still a wonderful cook and loved to make meals for his family.

He leaves behind his wife, Ann Forbes; son Bobby Forbes; stepson Brian (Emily) Marrs; stepdaughter Amanda (Matt) Jacobs; mother LaVada Forbes; brother Kenneth Forbes; sisters Brandy Phillips, Debra (Tony) Hull and Sandra (Bret) Hector; and grandchildren Brooke Forbes, Emma Forbes, Mason Davis, Carly Jacobs, Jaden Marrs, Lauren Marrs, Taylor Marrs and Johnathan Stollery.

Leo's passing has reunited him with his father, Kenneth Forbes, and many long-missed family members.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
