Chester Benjamin Kimple of Port Angeles passed away on November 21, 2012, of complications related to prostate cancer.

Mr. Kimple was born on August 1, 1966, to Kaye Kimple and Namiko (Mersai) Kimple in Koror, Palau.

He married Ms. Karen Konopaski on May 5, 1990. Together, they moved in 2004 to Clallam Bay, where Mr. Kimple worked as a correctional officer from 2006 until his death.

In his free time, Mr. Kimple was an avid reader, musician and fisherman.

Mr. Kimple was preceded in death by his father, Kaye Kimple; mother Namiko Mersai Kimple; and daughter Abigail Rose Kimple.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Kimple of Port Angeles; daughters Lorna Kimple of Annapolis, Maryland, and Lily Kimple of Port Angeles; brothers Andy Kimple and Greg Kimple; and sister Elilai (Troy) Kimple Mow.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Don Smith will be held at Drennan-Ford Funeral Home, 260 Monroe Road, Port Angeles, WA 98362, at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 1.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County, 540 East Eighth Street, Port Angeles, WA 98362.
