Doris Bokamper of Port Angeles lost her life to congestive heart failure after 92 years in this world.
She was born in Wabash, Indiana, on April 1, 1921, to Harold and Dorothy (Hawkins) Lauer.

Doris loved her life on the Peninsula. Backpacking, hiking, hunting, fishing and gardening all brought her great joy, and she relished the friendships she shared with her neighbors and fellow members of First United Methodist and Congregational Church.
Doris has been reunited with her loving husband, Wes Bokamper, who passed away in February of 2013. Her parents, Harold and Dorothy, and son Glen K. Bokamper also preceded her in death.
