Earl Lloyd Taylor of Sequim passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at the age of 86. He was born to Artie Claude and Marie Montana (Meyer) Taylor on February 23, 1932 in Pasco, Washington.

Earl served in the United States Navy from 1949-1953, during the Korean War. Earl married the love of his life, Alice L. (Hays) Taylor, on June 23, 1962. They shared 6 children: Belinda (Kevin) Marston, Royce (Denise) Taylor, Dennis (Jennifer) Taylor, Cinda (Robert) O'Dell, Patricia (Robert) Wentz, and Shannon (Kevin) Gainer. They were blessed with 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

The family moved to Port Angeles in 1966, at which time he worked for Dr. K.M. Morrison, Angeles Optical, from 1966-1982. They then moved to Sequim, where Earl opened Earl's Optical, which was in operation from 1982-1993, after which he retired.

Earl was an active member of Kiwanis Club in Sequim. He enjoyed working in his workshop, creating items for his children and grandchildren.

He attended Sequim Bible Church during spring/summer and Community Christian Church while wintering in Yuma, Arizona.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents Artie and Marie Taylor, as well as his sister Elaine Taylor Bunce.
