Frank Hurley peacefully passed away at the age of 83 on May 30, 2018, at Olympic Memorial Hospital in Port Angeles. He was born in Port Angeles on October 18, 1934, to Daniel Nelson Hurleyand Rose Ellen Hurley.

After graduating high school in Port Angeles, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy on January 19, 1954, and proudly served his country until July 19, 1974.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Laurie Hurley, parents and two brothers, Richard McEwan and Harry McEwan.

After retiring from the Navy, Frank worked for the City of Port Angeles, and started his own refrigeration business, which he also retired from. He belonged to the Free Masons.

He was married to Laurie Ott in Escondido, California on August 26, 1961. Frank and Laurie loved traveling, and Frank was an avid reader. He loved and cherished his family very much.

Frank is survived by his brother Jack McEwan, son Forrest and Diane Hurley of Lake Forest Park, Washington, son Daniel Hurley of Bellingham, Washington, daughter Loena Griffith of Forest Grove, Oregon, daughter Audrey and Robbin McAdow of Port Angeles, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no funeral service for Frank, but his ashes will be spread with his wife's. There will be a Celebration of Life on June 23rd from 1-4 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge in Port Angeles. Any donations can be made to Shriners Hospital at 3101 Southwest Sam Jackson Park Rd, Portland, OR 97239-3009.
