Obituary
The Guest Book is expired.

James, called by many, Jim or Jimmy, made his journey to heaven on Monday August 20, experiencing a sudden massive heart attack. James had lived in Edmonds, for the past 18 years.
James was born in Van Nuys CA to Robert L. Parks Sr. and Victoria Parks (Kelley). James shared his childhood with his brothers, Larry Parks and Bob Parks and it quickly became apparent of his exceptional intellect and witty outside the box humor. His other talents emerged through his teens and early adulthood. Of his many talents James was a remarkable artist, played several musical instruments, and was interested in all sports, his favorite being hockey and football. James graduated Pasadena High School and studied at Pasadena College. He became proficient in fencing and karate and took classes and became a gourmet chef. His cooking abilities led him to a job at the famous Ice House comedy club where he worked as their head chef.

Being the adventuresome James he moved from California to Washington state and also lived in Hawaii and Ohio before returning to his favorite state, Washington. James was the type of person who never met a stranger and accepted people for who they are. He was a loving and caring friend who was always there when he was needed.

In the summer of 2001 James met his soulmate, Carrie Lee Nelson and they were married in December 2001. The passion of his life was his two daughters, Shania Parks and Hanna Parks and his son Jimmy Jr. James was a loving and devoted husband, father and son.

James had an impeccable work ethic which led him to his career of eighteen years with Service Masters as their Vice President in Everett WA divsion.

James lived by the golden rule and experienced a life of love. He loved deeply and was loved by all. There will always be a void in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know him.
