    - Kristine Davis

Jesus received Kathleen Gail (Phillips) Horner into His Heavenly Kingdom on Friday, August 24, a few days after her 72nd birthday August 22.
Kathleen's last breath on earth was quiet and peaceful. She was surrounded by three generations of her loved ones including her husband of 44 years Roger Horner, daughter Kristine Davis, son Brian Horner, granddaughter Delana Horner, and her son-and daughter-in-law George Davis and Kristina Horner.

Additionally, she is survived by her sister Mara Spang of Coos Bay, Oregon, stepchildren Mitchell Horner, Jacquelyn Dreher, Yvonne Decorte, niece Sara Mottau of Portland, Oregon, over a dozen grand- and great-grandchildren and a host of caring friends.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Kathleen graduated from San Gabriel High School where she was a member of the A Cappella & Madrigal Choir Groups. In 1980, she moved to Chimacum with her family where she became an active member of the Irondale Evangelical Free Church in Port Hadlock. She enjoyed singing with her husband Roger in the Church Choir and loved registering children each year for Vacation Bible School. She also collected all year for Samaritans Purse.
While raising two children Kathleen became an entrepreneur and was involved with a number of business ventures over the years. An avid crafter and artist, Kathleen's passion was making personalized gifts for the people she loved, especially for Christmas - which was her favorite time of year.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her mother Kathleen (Brown) Phillips Wilber, her father Phil Phillips, her adoptive father Alvin H. Wilber, her grandmother Mae Brown and grandfather Ed Brown.

There will be a viewing service at Stone Chapel Poulsbo Mortuary in Poulsbo on Friday, August 31, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. A memorial service celebrating Kathleen's life will be held at Irondale Evangelical Church in Port Hadlock, WA on Sunday, September 2 at 2 p.m.
Our family wants to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude to the many care givers who have been so attentive and tender in the care of our sweet Kathleen.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends of Kathleen to make a memorial donation to the Jefferson County Food Bank.
