Kathryn Pauline "Katy" Eastwood died in Port Angeles of complications of kidney disease. She was 56.

Katy was born in Los Angeles, CA to Gene and Helen (Johnson) Eddy. In 1979 she graduated from Henderson High School, Atlanta, GA and in 1985 received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Azusa Pacific University.

She followed her family to the PNW in 1991. Over the past years, Katy was employed as a job coach with Diversified Industries, a teacher at Olympic Christian School, substitute teacher in Port Angeles and Crescent schools, a Visiting Angel, and a secretary at her church, Independent Bible Church.

Hiking, kayaking, beading, and Bible study were some of her interests. Katy had a gift for hospitality and enjoyed hosting parties and opened her home to many foster children and others in need. She volunteered as a Guardian Ad Lidem.

She loved her dogs, spending time with nieces and nephews, going to concerts, and beach combing.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Rachel and Sam McKay, ten nephews and nieces, and eight grand-nephews and nieces. Service is on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1 pm at Independent Bible Church, 116 E. Ahlvers Rd, Port Angeles, WA 98362. Drennan-Ford Funeral Home, Port Angeles, was in charge of arrangements.
