Lurana May Gilmore-Tiemeyer, 93, of Port Angeles passed away on September 2nd, 2018 due to age related causes.
Lurana was born in Pe Ell, Washington on September 9th, 1924.
Lurana married Thomas David Tiemeyer in October of 1945. Lurana came to the Forks area with her husband 'Dave' who worked in logging, and together they started a family and had 4 boys.
Lurana was the head cook for the Forks School District for over 20 years, she also served as a Guardian Ad Litem for the Clallam County Juvenile Courts.
After Dad passed away in December of 1980, due to a working accident, she then married Glen Gilmore in September of 1997
Lurana loved travel and had seen most of the world. Enjoyed family and friends visits and she always had to have her coffee and cookies. The Lord was always a big part of her life and attending church.
Lurana leaves behind her sons; David L. (Gay) Tiemeyer, Ruel H. Tiemeyer, Robert V. (Harriet) Tiemeyer, and Wallace E. (Eldonna) Tiemeyer. Step-daughter Glendia Gilmore- Bridenbaugh of Sequim, her brother; Thomas V. Hockett, Grandchildren; Chris tiemeyer, Derek Tiemeyer, Marc A. Tiemeyer, Linda Garbrick, Ed Tiemeyer, April Mickelson, Jane Cornthwaite, David Smith, as well as 11 great Grandchildren.
Lurana was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband: Thomas Tiemeyer (1980) and second husband: Glen Gilmore (2002)
Lurana will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
