Richard Albert Bondelid, OD went to Our Lord May 31, 2018, at the age of 91, in Eugene, Oregon.

Richard is survived by his wife of 12 wonderful years, Florentina (Flory), his sister Shirley Finley, his sons Alan (Tina), Gary (Gay), Flory's children, Melanie (Richard), Eric (Linn), 11 grandchildren 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Ruth Bondelid, his 3 brothers and Flory's son Pete Peterson.

Richard served in the navy as a quartermaster aboard the USS Swanson (DD 443).

Richard received his doctorate from Pacific University in Portland, Oregon. He practiced in several cities, ending with his own office in Port Angeles, where he retired in 1987. Richard was a life-long member of the BPOE, rising to the office of Exalted Ruler. His chief hobby was building and flying radio-controlled model airplanes. His passion was golf, with a 10 handicap during his college years.

A memorial service will be held at Mohawk Community Church, 91146 Marcola Road Springfield, Oregon on July 14 at noon.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mohawk Community Church.
