Pamela "Pam" (Cargile) Stauffer, surrounded by her family, passed away on January 24, 2012.

Pam was born to Shirley and Delvin Cargile in Port Angeles, where she was raised, and graduated from Port Angeles High School in 1978.

Pam married Larry Stauffer and moved to Federal Way, Washington, where they raised two sons. In 1986, they moved to Hawaii. Upon returning to Federal Way, Pam sold real estate for several years. Later, she returned to Port Angeles to work for "Mom" at Shirley's Cafe.

In life, Pam was a caring and loving person with a quick wit and an infectious laugh. Family was the most important part of Pam's life. Her illness made it difficult for her to get around, but that would not deter her from tending to the needs of her family. She was always the first to offer a "happy birthday" wish, a "congratulations" on an achievement or just a caring ear for anyone in need.

Pam is survived by her parents, Shirley Cargile and Delvin Cargile (Lois); domestic partner Howard Raymond; sons Eric Stauffer (Kelly) of Los Angeles and Keith Stauffer of Phoenix, Arizona; grandson Colt Stauffer; sisters Debbie Johnstad, Bobbie Edgmon and Sheri Mackrow, all of Port Angeles; and nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to count.

There will be a celebrations of life held at Shirley's Cafe, 612 South Lincoln Street, Port Angeles, on Saturday, February 11, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Defeat Diabetes Foundation in memory of Pam Stauffer. Donations can be made at or mailed to the Defeat Diabetes Foundation, 150 153rd Avenue, Suite 300, Madeira Beach, FL 33708.
