Judith (Judy) Gallacci Judkins was born to Angelo and Emily (Hermann) Gallacci on November 22, 1941, in Port Angeles. She was the oldest of four children.
She attended Port Angeles schools and graduated from Port Angeles High School in 1960. She also attended business school.
They lived on the Olympic Peninsula, with briefs times in Sekiu and Clallam Bay, because her husband was a logger by trade.
Judy was a talented artist in oil, pottery, cooking and gardening. She was an accomplished pianist.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, and she loved God, which sustained her through her trials in life.
She lived her life with a true zest, loving all things beautiful. Her true passions were her love of music, art (she loved to paint and draw) and gardening. She loved to sing and to dance. But mainly, her passion was her family.
She had a true kindred spirit, and she was happiest when she was surrounded by friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, John Judkins; sons Steven (Launa) Judkins and Daniel (Jamie) Judkins; daughter Lissa Judkins; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings Eileen (Ted) Graves, James (Elizabeth) Gallacci and Deborah (Andy) Kumpula.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial contributions may go to diabetes research, the Northwest Kidney Centers (www.nwkidney.org) or St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
