Nicholas Stoican of Port Orchard passed away peacefully on November 6, 2012.
Nick was born to John and Anna Stoican in Havre, Montana, on July 16, 1927.
Nick enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served in Korea during the war.
He was a pioneer in his field of water well drilling as owner/operator of Stoican Well Drilling for over 50 years. His most cherished memories were those he helped to create for his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Nikki Lynne Stoican Fischer (Howard) of Germantown, Maryland, Jon Michael Stoican (Valori) of Allyn, Washington, Paul Warren Stoican of Port Angeles, Shari Leanne Stoican of Bothell, Washington, and Debbi Jean Stoican of Union, Washington; and a brother, Dan of Lake Bay, Washington. He was deeply loved by 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Public visitation will be held at Lewis Funeral Chapel, 22272 Foss Road Northeast, Poulsbo, Washington, on Saturday, November 17, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., with a funeral service following at 11 a.m. Interment with military honors will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bremerton, with a reception to follow.
