Dick joined his loving wife, Bebe, in heaven on December 1, 2012. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who shall forever live in our hearts and will be truly missed.

Dick was born March 29, 1931, to Louis and Emma Camporini in Jersey City, New Jersey.

After graduating from high school, Dick enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Neah Bay. He would travel on Sundays for dinner with the Schmitt family in Port Angeles, where he met the love of his life, Bebe Schmitt. They were married on June 28, 1952.

Dick and Bebe had four children, Lois "Sudi" (Gary) McLaughlin, Doris Allen, Elise (Jerry) Allen and Rich Camporini Jr., as well as 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Dick worked as a mechanic at the Ford dealership in Port Angeles for a time and was then was hired September 1, 1955, by the Port Angeles Fire Department, from which he retired as fire chief in 1981.

He also had a love for teaching and taught first-aid classes at Peninsula College. His children were always his best students and learned so much from him.

Dick and Bebe loved to fish, hunt and clam dig. They had a special love for their home at Lake Crescent, where a lot of special family memories were made.

Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Bebe Camporini, who passed on July 25, 2006.

Dad, though you will be truly missed, we know how much you have missed Mom since her passing and take comfort in the thought of you being reunited with her once again.

There will be graveside services on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. at Mount Angeles Memorial Park, 45 South Monroe Road.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Michael Schmitt Memorial Fund at Queen of Angels School in Port Angeles, www.qofaschool.org.
