John "Jack" Franklin Hoine passed away on November 21, 2012, after a short bout with cancer.

He was born January 28, 1926, in Everett, Washington, to Jim and Marguerite Hoine, where he attended South Junior High School.

Jack grew up enjoying swimming, playing baseball, hunting, fishing and camping with his family.

Jack enlisted in the U.S. Army from January of 1944 to May of 1946, becoming a B-24 tailgunner in the 458 Bomb Group and 753rd Bomb Squadron.

Jack moved with his family in 1948 to Port Angeles, where with his father started the business of Jim & Jack Hoine's Welding Service.

After 40 years as a master welder and machinist, Jack retired in Sequim, where he enjoyed visiting his friends, working in the yard and garden, hunting, fishing and traveling to Eastern Washington to work on his acreage, where Jack's dream was to build a log cabin.

Surviving Jack are his two daughters, Linda Johnson of Naples, Florida, and Carol Schneider of Durango, Colorado; his granddaughter, Laura Kase of Puyallup; and brother Lonnie Hoine of Sequim.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Denny and Barbara Jaksha, John and Cynthia Dach, Sandra and Larry Christiansen, Lonnie and Nancy Percival, friends and family, and our husbands, Don Schneider and Kirk Johnson, for all their help and support during the extremely emotional and trying times.

Dad, we thought of you with love today,

But that is nothing new.

We thought about you yesterday

And days before that, too.

We think of you in silence.

We often speak your name.

Now all we have is memories

And your picture in a frame.

Your memory is our keepsake

With which we'll never part.

God has you in his keeping.

We have you in our heart.

All our Love, Carol and Linda
