Jim or Jimbo - as he was commonly known - was born June 19, 1952, in Port Angeles to Willis and Zella Sisson. He left this world suddenly August 25, 2018, making his entrance into his eternal home in Heaven.
After graduation from PAHS in 1970, Jim followed his dream and embarked on a journey landing him a career in the Logging Industry. It began with learning how to wash a truck, moved on to maintenance and mechanical skills, and then to truck ownership. He soon had memorized every aspect of logging, and knew every logging road on the Olympic Peninsula and the western half of Washington state. During his working years, he was employed by Bud Ulin and Barry Swanson Trucking companies until injuries forced his retirement.

In 1986, he proclaimed Cynthia Banner his best friend, the love of his life, and a gift from God. They were married February 14, 1986, in Port Angeles. Together they raised three children and now have two grandsons. Jim enjoyed his family and is known for his commitment and passion for those he loved and his beliefs tempered by kindness and compassion for others. He made God, family, and friends a priority in his life, extending kindness and a willingness to get to know people and respect them for who they were by taking a personal interest in them. Throughout his lifetime, he acquired many friends and acquaintances, many that he kept close for a lifetime.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Willis and Zella Sisson and a niece Deborah Sisson.

Survivors include his wife Cindy, his faithful pup Zeus, children Jack (Amber) Sisson of Coolidge, Arizona, Holli Sisson of Lynwood, and Megan(Ian) Dumych of Seattle, grandsons Caleb and Liam Sisson, Brothers David (Rebecca) Sisson of Federal Way and Philip Sisson of Port Angeles, sister Laurie (Ron) Elmer of Port Angeles, and also many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018, at Bethany Pentecostal Church, 508 South Francis St in Port Angeles, WA with Reverend Omer Vigoren officiating.
