Harvey A. Brooks
Harvey A Brooks passed away at his home July 12, 2013. He was born June 8, 1933 in North Tazwell, Virginia, to Oscar and Maime Brooks.
He enlisted in the US Navy in 1951, served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and retired in 1975. He served on the USS Lexington, the USS Antietam and worked at The Naval Aerospace Regional Medical Center. He was stationed in Pensacola for his last 19 years of service.
Harvey enjoyed his family of 1 son, 4 daughters, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Willie, and his children Steve Maddox, Sandra (Kenny) Maughon, Susan (George) Sprague, Sharon (Eric) Winn and Stacey Miller.
Harvey was married to Willie Brooks for 48 years spending most of their lives in Pensacola. They enjoyed ballroom dancing in the area, where they have met many good friends.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Malholtra and his staff for their care and concern. Also the Covenant Hospice staff and special friend Owen Mancarella.
Visitation will be held at 11:45 with a service to follow at Family - Funeral & Cremation with Dr. Alton Butler officiating. Burial will take place at Barrancas National Cemetary immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Sacred Heart Foundation, c/o Cancer Center on Davis Hwy.

Stacey & Sharon, I just saw this today. I know it has been a long time. I remember spending the night with ya'll in Middle School. Your Mom & Dad both were so good to us. I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you in my prayers.

Dear Willie and Family,
We have been neighbors for many years and although we didn't see each other often I always knew you all were there for me. I enjoyed the time that Harvey worked with us. I know he will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. I am so sorry for your loss. God bless you and your family.
