Chisenhall, David
David Bruce Chisenhall, Sr. 1944 - 2015 David Bruce Chisenhall Sr, age 70, of Pensacola, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born in Lake City, AR on December 7, 1944, and had been a Pensacola resident since 1980. He was a 24 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant in 1987. He then worked 20 years in public service for the State of Florida Office of Reemployment Assistance. Dave was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Slightly on the competitive side, he never shied away from a game of basketball, cards, or dominoes. He was full of laughter and enjoyed sharing a joke or two. He was our paternal music aficionado, constantly quizzing "Who sings this?" as he greatly appreciated the talents and positive impact the artists brought to our lives. He loved watching his Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Cardinals, and Arkansas Razorbacks, as well as attending all of the "kids" various activities. He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 53 years, Diann; daughters Cheryl and Lawayne Burt of Gulf Breeze and Stephanie and Darren Miller of Elberta, AL; son David Jr. and Elaine Chisenhall of Lorton, VA; sister Jeanette and Donald Lee of Harrisburg, AR; sister-in-law Margaret McKee of Friar's Point, MS; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Honorary Pallbearers are Randall Burt, Laura Burt-Miller, Cody Miller, John Ryan Chisenhall, and Kaitlin Chisenhall. A life celebration will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home on May 21st at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. His final resting will be at Barrancas National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Our family is very appreciative of Woodlands and Sacred Heart Hospital for their professional care and love for Dave. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation on Dave's behalf to your local Humane Society or animal shelter. Express your condolences in our guestbook at pnj.com/obits
