Barbara Ann Bridges Cartright

Barbara Ann Bridges Cartright died Sunday, June 16, 2013, in Pensacola, FL. Barbara was born May 13, 1958, in Wiesbaden, Germany, to the late Benjamin Eugene Bridges and Hannah Chafin Bridges. She is survived by her daughters Lauren Elizabeth Cartright Cutter and Katherine Hannah Cartright, grandson Cole Cartright Cutter, her husband of 30 years Jim Cartright, her sisters Cindy Bell (Tom) and Anita Barrett (Bobby), her sister-in-law Wendy Cartright Jones, her in-laws Gary and Betty Cartright and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara graduated from Auburn University, where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She was a loving, caring, selfless person, consummate mother to her children and grandson, and ever a loyal friend. In addition to her family, Barbara loved cooking, traveling, shopping, and Barry Manilow. In spite of living with great pain, she never lost her sense of humor or her ability to bring joy to others.

A family celebration of life will be held June 27 at 4 pm at Bayview Memorial Gardens with Pastor Trip Healey officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32504, or the , 5401 Corporate Woods Drive, #100, Pensacola, FL 32504.
