David William Pardonner, age 70, passed away on November 30, 2013.



Dave was born to the late William George Pardonner and Lolita Berndt Pardonner, May 1, 1943 in Geneva Illinois. He graduated Wheaton Central High School in 1961 and attended classes at Long Beach State University in southern California.



He married Janet Morris on June 27th, 1962 and, the same year, started his career with Pacific Telephone in outside plant.



Dave entered the Cable TV industry in 1969 as a systems design engineer and, in 1978, was appointed Senior Vice President of Operations for the Cable TV division of Teleprompter Corporation.



He co-founded Essex Communications Corporation in 1979 as a Cable TV multiple systems operator. Essex went public on the NASDAQ exchange in 1986 and by the time it was sold in 1988 the company had achieved status of top 50 largest cable companies in the US.



After selling the company, Dave and Jan spent time together enjoying Christian ministry, marriage ministry, and liturgical dance.



Dave is survived by his wife, Janet, two children, Steve and Jeff, seven grandchildren and his brother, Don.



Dave was a very generous and faithful husband, father and friend. At his 55th birthday party, the late Paul Field (his business partner in Essex Communications) stated, "If I was hanging on the edge of a cliff and I could choose only one person to be at the edge to help me, it would be Dave Pardonner." Dave Pardonner has truly touched the lives of many people throughout the world and will be deeply missed.



A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 11th at Grace Lutheran Church located at 6601 N. 9th Ave, Pensacola, Florida 32505.
