Fayette "Faye" Dennison, 90, of Pensacola, went to Heaven and joined his Angel (Jewell) on December 25, 2012. A CPA by profession, he was born in Bowling Green, KY; and was a proud veteran. He was a WWII
Bombadier in the 751st Squadron of the 457th Bomb Group of the 8th Air Force. After WWII, he graduated from the University of FL in 1948, earning the degree Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was licensed (No. 550) to practice as a Certified Public Accountant from the Florida Board of Accountancy in 1950, and returned to military service during the Korean War
, stationed at Eglin AFB. He then started a local CPA firm and continued practicing up until the time of his passing. He devoted his life, after the passing of his beloved wife in April of 2009, to honoring her memory through service and commitment to the Methodist Home Board, Gadsden Street UMC and Haven of Our Lady of Peace. Throughout his life, Faye was known for his strong work ethic, as well as his sense of humor. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 66 years, Jewell Dunn Dennison; parents, Fayette Dennison, Sr. and Dovie Etta Whitaker. Survivors include son, Dean (Laura) Dennison of Pensacola, FL; son, Dana (Sandy) Dennison of Pensacola, FL; daughter, Kathy Collins of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Debbie (Ralph) Daugherty of Gainesville, FL; Danny Downey of Boulder, CO; Jessica Eger of Pensacola, FL; Ross (Malinda) Dennison of Philadelphia, NY; great grandchildren, Sadie and Dylan Daugherty of Gainesville, FL and Zachery Dennison of Philadelphia, NY; as well as a brother, David Dennison of Owensboro, KY. Visitation will be held at Gadsden Street United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from noon until 2pm, with the funeral service beginning at 2pm. Burial will follow in Bayview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gadsden Street United Methodist Church Building Fund 901 E. Gadsden Street, Pensacola, FL 32501. Bayview Fisher-Pou Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
