Gary Eugene Sasser
1951-2014
Gary Eugene Sasser, 62, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2014. He was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. He served in the U.S. Army as a Morse Code Interceptor in Thailand during the Vietnam War.
Gary also retired from Civil Service at NAS Pensacola.
Gary is preceded in death by his father, Donald Reid Sasser, Jr. He is survived by his devoted mother, Mavis Sasser; his daughter, Carly Sasser McCorvey (Neil); five grandsons, Laterel, Lorenzo, Antonio, Kahleil and Little Myron; brothers, Reid (Nita), Bob (Judith), Jeff (Lori), Marc (Laura), and John (Stephanie); sisters, Deb (Dave) and Becky (Mike).
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Waterfront Rescue Mission, 380 W. Herman Street, Pensacola, FL 32505.
Visitation will be held at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2014 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with Reverend Marc Sasser officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.

I was totally surprised when I received word that Gary had passed away. I know Gary is in a better place now. He will be missed.

May the Lord forever Bless and keep each of you during this difficult time. So sorry to hear about Gary's passing. He was a good friend and co-worker at NARF/NADEP at NAS Pensacola.
