Jennifer Acierno Theisen, 39, mother, wife, friend, passed away at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida on Tuesday, July 2.
Jennifer was born on May 1, 1974 in Gainesville, FL to Beverly Jean Acierno. She completed a Bachelor of Arts, Interdisciplinary Humanities degree at The University of West Florida in Pensacola in 1998. Jennifer devoted her professional life to charitable fundraising and event production. She served as the Operations Director for the Destin Charity Wine Auction, the Production Manager for the Seaside Jazz Festival, and Director of Client Services for Michael Belk & Company in WaterColor, FL. She was working part time at Cathedral Arts Project in Jacksonville. As a young intern, Jennifer was hired by the Arts Council of Northwest Florida to produce and host Focus on The Arts, a local public television show for the Pensacola Cultural Center.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Jean Acierno and her grandfather, Edward B. Feathers, and survived by her husband, Robert Theisen and her children Raleigh and Milly Theisen (Orange Park, FL), her aunts Susan L. Feathers and Kathryn A. Johansen (Pensacola, FL) and Barbara G. Feathers (Brooklyn, N.Y.); her cousins Thomas J. Williams (Nashville, TN), Heather B. Hufton (Virginia Beach, VA), Nathan Feathers George, Amelia Feathers George (Jersey City N.J.) and Liberty Marshall Johansen (Pensacola, FL).
Jennifer and her husband Robert Theisen were high school friends, performing in the theater program at Washington High School in Pensacola, FL. Their twins, Raleigh and Milly, were born in Orange Park, FL in 2012.
"Jenny" will always be remembered as an exuberant, creative person who loved beauty, design, and performance arts. She possessed a designer's eye that served her well in making every home a decorator's dream. Jenny enjoyed gourmet food and excellent wine; she knew how to celebrate the best life has to offer. Jenny's charitable work has left a legacy of children's hospital programs, neonatal services, and many other charities supported through her skillful work in fundraising.
A service will be held for family and friends on July 11 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 451 Blanding Boulevard, Orange Park, FL 32073
A viewing will be held on July 10 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bivens Funeral Home 529 Kingsley Avenue, Orange Park, FL 32073.
