John H. Sharp

John H. Sharp

John H. Sharp, age 54, died Friday, December 21, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah after a lengthy illness.

John was a native of Pensacola, Fla. and an Operational Team Leader for Georgia Power Company having worked for them for 27 years. He was also a member of the Offshore Outlaws fishing club in Richmond Hill.

John had a heart of gold. He lived life to the fullest every single day. In the toughest of times, John still managed to smile and make the most of it. He was the strongest man anyone has ever met and fought until the end. His will to live could never be matched by anyone. He was a fighter that loved a great challenge. John's family held the key to his heart. He spoiled his boys with more than toys; he passed on his passion for salt water, teaching them life lessons in fishing, and hunting.

From the very first day, his wife never left his side. The love they had for each other and the care she gave him during his illness was immeasurable, and a true love story that will live forever in our hearts. John left a mark on every single person he met, he was unforgettable, and always will be. Forever & Always Kiddo, We Love You!

He was preceded in death by his father, Eldred Eugene Sharp.

He is survived by his wife, Jenny Sharp; children, Hunter Owens and Saylor Owens; his mother, Martha McCarty Sharp; sisters, Nancy Sharp, Deborah Scheufens, Beth Powell, and Kaye Sharp; brothers, Gene Sharp, Bill Sharp, Bob Sharp, and Sam Sharp.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held in Pensacola, FL at a later date.
