Marshall Reese Majors (USAF, Ret. MSGT) of Pensacola, Florida passed away Oct. 31, 2012. He was 76 years old. Marshall was born in Barth, FL on March 24, 1936 to Helen Wilhemina Ward and Joseph Reese Majors.
As a young man, Marshall enlisted in the United States Air Force
and began his career as a photo interpreter. His military career took him all over the world from Dreux Air Base, France to MacDill Air Force Base in Florida and Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii among other bases across the globe.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Faye Majors, his parents and brothers Alfred Majors, Dallas Majors, William T. Majors and son-in-law, Roy Ard.
He is survived by his loving and devoted companion, Clara Stewart; daughters, Marsha (Scott) Walker and Lisa Ard; son, Marshall R. Majors, Jr.; grandchildren, Matthew and Marisa Ard; sister Luverne Williams and brother, Michael J. Majors. Also surviving Marshall are Clara's children, Steve Stewart and Paula Brush, and their extended family as well as many close friends.
Visitation will be Monday, November 5, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with Reverend Gene Wooten officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
