Sarah Elizabeth Edenfield Mumme, age 81, of Milton, FL, passed away January 3, 2013. She was born August 1, 1931 in Escambia County, AL to the late Preston Edgar Dulaney and Annie Ruth Dulaney.
Sarah retired from Monsanto in 1988 after 30 years of service.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Edenfield and John Mumme and four sisters, Joyce Yvonne Dulaney, Margaret Tucker, Helen Fillingim and Ruth Statam.
Survivors include her son, James Edward Edenfield and wife, Lucy, her daughter, Susan Elizabeth Wallace and five grandchildren, Christie Hartman, Mandy (Keith) Grubbs, Robin (Travis) Barlar, Tracy Brown, all of Pensacola, FL, and James Walter (Marie) Edenfield of Fort Polk, LA. She is also survived by two sisters, Nita Middleton of Pensacola, FL and Judy Pittman of Milton, FL, 14 great grandchildren, Mary Beth and Emily of Milton, FL, Allie, Clay, Heather, Haley, Kristopher, Brandon, Jocelynne and Tyler, all of Pensacola, FL, Randy and Braden of Tallahassee, FL, Daniel and Dominic of Louisiana, Sarah also had numerous nieces and nephews.
Sarah was an avid gardener and loved growing roses and working in her yard, traveling and meeting new people. She was a member of VFW
Post 4833 in Milton, FL and the Red Hat Classy Ladies Society of Milton, FL. Sarah will be sadly missed by all her friends and family, but she leaves many happy memories behind.
Funeral services will be Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 1 PM at the Chapel of National Cremation & Burial Society with Father Richard Schamber officiating. Interment will follow in Pensacola Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Keith Grubbs, Travis Barlar, Brandon Stanford, Steve Jones, Ben Lewis and Jeff Garrett. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 5 until 7 PM.
National Cremation & Burial Society of Milton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
