Sharon Hill Aydelott

1965 - 2013

Sharon Hill Aydelott, beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend, went to be with her Savior on Christmas Eve 2013. Sharon was a long time resident of Gulf Breeze, Florida and member of Olive Baptist Church of Pensacola.

Born in Pensacola on May 07, 1965 to Robert Hill and Sylvia Story she is survived by two children, William Brandon and Elizabeth "Biz" Grace; parents, Robert Hill (Joan) and Sylvia Story; sisters, Pam Hill (LeeLee) and Patricia Hawkins (Buddy); brother, James "Gee" Stuart (Tracey); nieces, Brianna Allender (Cory) and Kara Hawkins; nephews, Justin Allender (Heather) and David Hawkins; godson, Jarrod Ventura; very special friend, Stella Andrion; stepbrother, David Wilson; stepsister, Gwen Wilson; aunts, Janice Drinkard, Jeanette Williamson, Wanda Warnick (Dave); uncles, Bud Hill (Linda) and Carlos Hill. Sharon had many special cousins, whom she loved dearly and she enjoyed and loved her many wonderful friends and colleagues.

Growing up in Birmingham, Alabama she attended Minor High School from which she graduated in 1983. Sharon was a graduate of Samford University, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and also attended PJC where she was a member of Zeta Phi Delta Sorority. She earned a B.A. in Business and a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of West Florida.

In 1998, Sharon started teaching at Holley-Navarre Middle School, where she was loved by students and teachers alike. She was selected Teacher of the Year in 2005. Blessed with a "megawatt" smile and generous spirit, Sharon had an exceptional way of making her family, friends and students know that they were each very, very special to her.

Sharon was such a fun and beautiful person, both outwardly and soulfully! She was so thoughtful and loved to laugh and joke. Her ability to love so very intensely let you know you were loved! Being a great participator, Sharon loved to be a part of things and never retreated from hard work or obligations.

She adored her children, all her children! They were her heart and soul. Sharon believed that each one of them hung the moon—the actual Moon! Through her dedicated work with the HNMS Student Council, Science Fair and as the coach for the Girl's Cross Country Team in Gulf Breeze, Sharon touched many lives in the school and community.
