Wayne F. Gore passed away December 4, 2012 after a brief stay at the Joyce Goldenberg Covenant Hospice. Special thanks to Angela Bottesini and Nurse Colleen for giving us the satisfaction to know we made the right decision in where Wayne would spend his last two days.
Wayne was born August 9, 1947 to Mary Elizabeth Pate Gore and Tolison Cleveland Gore at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. After graduation from Pensacola High, Wayne served in the Army
Reserves and began a career in the residential homebuilding business where he was a key player at Keltner Builders, Great American Land Co. and Gulf City Glass and Mirror Specialties, Inc.
Wayne was also instrumental in the formation of the White Heat Aids Foundation and Art Against Aids, Inc serving as an original board member of both organizations which raised thousands of dollars to help those men, women and children needing humanitarian assistance, particularly during those early years of the disease.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, Shawn Gore and a nephew by marriage, Mike Luke.
Survivors include his partner of 23 years, Sam Catches; brothers, Oliver Gore (Virginia) of Pensacola and Gerald Gore (Sally Gartland) of Spring, TX; children, Brian Gore (Elise) and Jennifer Lutz (Josh) of Gulf Breeze; nieces and nephews, Debbie Gore Luke, Tina Endsley (Rick), Missy Gore, all of Pensacola and Crystal Kirles (Jeremy) of Abilene, TX; grandchildren, Tyler, Justin and Lauren Gore as well as Avery and Garrett Lutz, all of Gulf Breeze.
