Alex Bradley Hopkins, age 19, of Jay, passed away on December 2, 2009 from complications of an automobile accident. Alex graduated from Jay High School in 2007 and was currently attending the University of West Florida. He was a fine young man with a bright future just beginning. He was a loving son, grandson, and friend to all. Alex will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Steve Jones, of Chuncula, Alabama; and great-grandfather, Robert Simmons, of Jay.
Alex is survived by his father, Pedro Warner; and mother, Rhonda Denise Hopkins-Warner, of Jay; grandmother, Eloise Hopkins, of Jay; grandfather, Troy (Virginia) Hopkins, of Chumuckla; maternal great-grandmother, Lillian (Granny Jack) Simmons, of Jay; paternal great-grandparents, Aaron (Alberta) Hopkins, of Chumuckla; special aunt, Michelle "Aunt Dee" (Ibriham) Alsowayan, of Riyahad, Saudi; cousins, Sares Badr and Layan Alsowayan; uncle, Melvin (Aunt Bobby) Langham, of Jay; cousins, Donna, Greg, and Briana Brown, Derek Moore of Jay and David Scobey of Pensacola.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Jay Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Jay Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Madden and Rev. James Baker officiating services. Burial will follow at Cora Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Ibrahim Alsowayan, Derek Moore, Greg Brown, Carlos Morris, Rene' Caballido, Robert Boyd, Keith Dove, and David Scobey.
Jay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
