Annie Ruth Roberson, beloved wife and mother, joined her husband in Heaven on September 13, 2013. She was born April 24, 1923 to Thomas Benjamin Ferguson and Mary Salter Ferguson in Johns, AL.
On May 30, 1944, she married Kenneth G. Roberson in Gantts' Quarry, AL.
She was a charter member at Immanuel Baptist Church in Pace, FL and taught The Willing Workers Sunday School class for over 30 years.
The joy of her life was serving her Lord and loving her family and friends.
Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Elizabeth Wood and Mildred Duncan; and she is survived by her children Barbara Reddoch (Malcolm) and Kenneth G. Roberson, Jr. (Lisa); Grandchildren Anna Lisa Buguida (Joe), Sherry Lynn Roberson (Chris), Kevin Elliot Reddoch and Kenneth Charles Roberson; Great Grandchildren Noah Buguida, Seth Buguida, Christopher Roberson, Joseph Roberson and Olivia Roberson; Sisters Elsie Harris, Martha Hall (the late Jimmy) and Fay DeBlasi (Charles); along with numerous Nephews and Nieces.
Trahan Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family would like to thank members of Immanuel Baptist and Olive Baptist Churches for their prayers and loving support. Many thanks, also, to The Health Center of Pensacola, West Florida Hospital and Covenant Hospice for their compassionate care of Annie Ruth.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013 until service begins at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church in Pace, FL. Brother Clain Roberts will officiate with burial in Serenity Garden Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be the Men of Immanuel Baptist Church and Honorary Pallbearers will be The Willing Workers Sunday School class.
If friends so desire, memorial gifts may be made to The Building Fund of Immanuel Baptist Church or Covenant Hospice.
