Chapel Danley, age 85, of Milton, Florida, went home to be with his Lord Sunday, October 20, 2013. He was born in Opp, AL to the late William Lewis Danley and Ada Bethel Chandler Danley.
Chapel was raised in Munson, FL and resided in Sana Rosa County for the past 14 years. He was a member and deacon of First Korean American Baptist Church(Northside) in Pensacola for 50+ years and served in the United States Army as a Tech Sgt from 1946-1948.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Elvie P. Danley; his brother, Rannel Danley; his sisters, Corrobul Petterson, Rosa D. Merritt and Mamie Morris; and a great grandchild, Chase Danley.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Sarah King Danley; his children, James Allen (Terry) Danley, Robin (John Cooper) Danley, Tommie Ray (Caleela) Danley; his sister-in-law, Nina Fay Danley; his step-children, Joe (Bethany) King, Rhonda King and Sheri (Jeff Ruch) Smith; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 11 AM at National Cremation & Burial Society with Pastor Tommie Danley, Pastor Terry Vaughn and Pastor Michael Kim officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Park Cemetery with military honors.
National Cremation & Burial Society of Milton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
