Charles Brown 67, of Pensacola, passed away on April 21, 2013 at his home with his love ones surrounding him. He was born on April 18, 1946 to Adelaide and Charles Wright. Both parents, three siblings and one great grandson preceded him in death.
After attending Escambia County Public Schools, he served in the United States Army receiving an Honorable Discharge. Later, he retired from Public Works Center (PWC) on Naval Air Station Pensacola. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and deacon. He also loved gardening and was an avid fisherman.
Charles leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife Mary; five children; daughters, Alisa Martinez, Christa (Billy) Holmes, Meredith (Dan) Moorer and Belinda (Shamus) Taylor; son, Charles (Sharon) Brown; four sisters, Brenda Mobley (Danny), Joann Montgomery, April (Roosevelt) Posey, and Caroline Randall; two brothers, William Brown and Jerry Brown; a devoted sister-in-law, Rachael Jones; eleven grandchildren, one great-grandson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Tracy Morton Memorial Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements. Viewing will be held on April 24, 12:00-6:00PM. Funeral Services will be April 25, 12:00PM @New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, 1610 North Q St Pensacola, Florida 32505. Burial will be at Barrancas National Cemetery
