Della Cheek Glover
Della Cheek Glover, 90, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014.
She was an active member of Olive Baptist Church since 1968. She worked with The United States War department and was a Navy wife. Mrs. Glover served in the choir and WMU. She enjoyed camping and water skiing, cooking, sewing and bowling.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by five siblings.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Harold V. "Sam" Glover; children, Sandra Hinton (Neal), Howard Glover (Jackey) and Kenneth Glover (Colleen); grandchildren, William Glover (Sabrina), Jeffrey Hinton, Angela Shea (David), Alan Hinton (Alicia), Matthew Glover and Martin Glover; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edwin Cheek and Shirrell Cheek and three sisters, Louise O'Shields, Avalee Walker and Grace Gentry.
Memorials may be made to Olive Baptist Church Building Fund or the Charis House at Olive Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held at Olive Baptist Church, Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Ted Traylor and Reverend Eugene Steele officiating. Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
