Known as "Mr. C." he employed many Milton residents before opening an "Orange Bowl" when University Mall opened in the early 1970's. He then moved to Mobile, Alabama where he worked for "Greer's" Food Stores and "McLeod Marine". After retirement until his failing vision interfered, he was a volunteer at 15 Place in Mobile and was the 2004 recipient of the Heart of Gold Award. He considered volunteering an honor.
