Ellen V. DeMonia, 87, of Pensacola, died Friday, August 03, 2012.
Mrs. DeMonia was born December 26, 1924 in Hudson, New York to James Van Vaulkenburgh and Mary Marshall Van Vaulkenburgh. She retired from the Food Services Department of the Escambia County School District after many years of service.
Mrs. DeMonia was preceded in death by her loving husband George M. DeMonia, Jr.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary-Ellen Lamb, Linda Chapin, Shirley Davis, Georgette Weekley and Dorene Shine all of Pensacola; sisters, Mary Lou Race and Joanie Pruesser both of New York; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 07, 2012 at Barrancas National Cemetery. The procession will depart the funeral home at 12:00 pm., Tuesday.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
