Ellen Jean Weaver
The Guest Book is expired.
Ellen Jean McFeely McLeod Weaver went home to be with our Lord and Savior on December 15, 2012.
Jean was born in Charleroi, Pa. and moved to Pensacola in the mid 1940's. She was employed at a bank in Charleroi after her graduation and at the Citizens and Peoples National Bank in Pensacola for over 30 years. She was a faithful member of East Hill Baptist Church for many years.
She devoted herself to raising her daughter, Ellen Jo. In August 1963, she married C. W. Weaver, the love of her life.
She loved books especially mysteries, crossword puzzles, and the word jumble in the newspaper. She had a fascination for England as her mother had immigrated from there when she was a young girl. She had a quick wit which she kept even as she got older, and she could tell wonderful stories. She also loved to laugh.
She was very tenderhearted and liked to surprise people with little things that they needed. In her early retirement, she helped her neighbors with meals, errands, and visits. One of the joys of her life was the giving of birthday and Christmas presents to those in her family.
Jean has joined in heaven her parents, Albert and Mary Ellen (Nellie) McFeely, her first husband, Dan Lowry McLeod to whom she was married for 2 ½ years, her sister, Josephine Youngman, and her second husband, C. W. Weaver to whom she was married for 46 years.
Those who remain to remember Jean are her children, Ellen McLeod VanArsdale (Charles), Carol Weaver Wolters (Dennis), Charles Wallace Weaver (Elaine); her grandchildren, William Swick, Mary Love, Timothy Wolters, Stephanie Davenport, Alison Wolters Herbic, Jeffrey Wolters, Lara Weaver, and Holly Weaver Raulston; and her great grandchildren, Aidan and Anya Swick, Grace Ellen, Hannah Jean and Elijah Love, Sarah and Jeffrey Davenport, Caroline and Jason Wolters, and Nola Herbic.
