Harold A. Alexander, 89, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013. He was born December 7, 1923 in the Greenville, IA area, then later moved to the farming community of Webb, IA. Harold graduated from Webb High School in 1941 and went on to a farm for 12 years before relocating to Ft. Walton Beach and then Pensacola. Harold was the owner and operator of Harold's Amoco Service Station across from Krispy Kreme and retired after 31 years to enjoy family, golf, travel and fishing.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; Algie and Audra Alexander; a daughter, Bonita Alexander; a granddaughter, Audra Beth Carithers; his brothers, Leo and Russell and his sisters, Mildred and Ruth.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cynthia S. Alexander; his children, Connie Varde, Ron Alexander (Lynn), Kathie Sutton (Gerry) and Caroline Carithers (Greg); 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; his siblings, Estel Alexander of Hubbard, IA, Hazel Mills of Riverton, WY and many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm on Saturday, February 16, 2013 with Funeral services beginning at 2:00pm at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. Rev. Brian Nott and Rev. Fred Martin will be officiating. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
