Louise E. Brown


Louise E. Brown, 83, a loving mother and devoted wife passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013. She was born in Monroe, Michigan on July 6, 1930 and raised in Johnson City, Tennessee. After graduating from East Tennessee State University with a degree in Biology, she relocated to the Pensacola area in the mid 1950-s to follow a career in teaching. She spent over forty years in the public school system teaching various grades at numerous schools. Her last teaching assignment was at Bellview Elementary School where she retired in the early 1990's. She was an active member in the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority and the Escambia County Retired Teachers Association.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Zilly M. Earl; brother, Ralph Earl and her husband of over fifty years, John F. (Jack) Brown.

She is survived by two sisters, Fay Chandler of California and Gertrude Jones and one brother, James H. Earl of Virginia. Louise has two surviving sons, John F. Brown, Jr. of Helena, Montana and Charles E. Brown and his wife, Tracey T. Brown, of Pensacola, FL; three grandchildren, Shawn Brown of Tampa, FL, Kimberly Brown of Pensacola, FL and Courtney Johnson of Post Falls, Idaho and five great grandchildren.

Pastor Kevin Krist of the Bellview United Methodist Church will perform a graveside service at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Pensacola, FL at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 21, 2013. Following the service, family and friends are welcome to gather at the fellowship hall of Bellview United Methodist Church, located at 4945 Saufley Field Road in Pensacola. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bellview United Methodist Church.
