Marguerite Banks Randolph, 101, a former longtime resident of Pensacola, died Friday at her home in Savannah.
Mrs. Randolph was the widow of William H. Randolph III, former president of Hygeia Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Pensacola.
Mrs. Randolph, known as Margie, was one of several residents who recognized the need to preserve the historic areas of the city. She was a former trustee of the Historic Pensacola Preservation Board, and she helped create "An Evening in Old Seville". Margie was co-chair of the Pensacola Antiques Show and Queen of the Rebellais Mardi Gras ball. She helped organize the Society of the Debutants' Charity Cotillion and numerous other charity events.
Mrs. Randolph is survived by two children, William Henry Randolph IV and Eleanor Rainsford Randolph; three grand-children, Shawn Randolph Walker, William Henry Randolph and Victoria Eleanor Pringle, and two great-grandchildren, John Banks Walker and Elizabeth Grace Walker.
The funeral service will be held at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the graveside, Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
