Nikki Frederick Boyd (1975-2013)

Nikki Frederick Boyd, 37, passed away October 22, 2013. He was born in Tacoma, Washington and grew up in Pensacola, Florida. Nikki was a member of the Greater Union Baptist Church where he served in the choir and usher board. In 1994, he was selected as the Greater Union Baptist Youth Day Speaker and was also in Who's Who of America High School Students. Nikki is a 1994 graduate from JM Tate High School in Gonzalez, Florida. During high school, he was a member of the Tate High School Band and a participant in the ROTC program

In 1995, Nikki entered the United States Army where he served three ( 3) years as a Military Policeman. After serving in the military, Nikki entered Virginia College where he received an Associate of Arts Degree in Retail Management. He held various positions in retail sales.

Nikki was preceded in death by his Mother, the late Cinthia Walker Boyd. He is survived by his father Malcolm Frederick Boyd, a daughter Keyera Boyd, a devoted fiance' Shanel Bernard, one son Gabriel Michael Boyd and one daughter Angel Kennedy Boyd. He also leaves to mourn a maternal grandmother Thelma Powell Walker, four uncles, Tyler (Vickie) Walker Jr., Stanley (Paulette) Walker, Kenneth (Lumper) Walker Sr., Richard (Brenda) Walker and one aunt, Karen Denise Walker. A host of cousins and devoted friends.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, October 30th, 12:00 noon at the Tracy Morton Memorial Chapel, 55 Coast Road, Pensacola, Florida with the Reverend Dr. Michael A. Thompson, Sr. officiating the service. Interment will follow at the Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors.
