Patrick Earl Herrington, 70, of Pensacola, FL passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012.
Patrick was born on September 7, 1942 in Pensacola, FL and was the son of Patrick Earl Harrington, Sr. and Mary Shilston Herrington. He was a retired Battalion Chief of the Pensacola Fire Department. During his years with the fire department he instructed numerous upcoming firemen. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion. Numerous hobbies were pursued with one of the most recent being membership the Pensacola Rod-tiques. Dad, we love you and you will be missed tremendously by your family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Herrington; father, Patrick Herrington, Sr.; wife, Dale Herrington; sisters, Joan Bathurst and Gwen Godwin; and a brother, Cidric Herrington.
Survivors include his son, Patrick Craig Herrington; daughter, Patricia McGaughey (Haverty); daughter, Temple Kinley (Bryan Johnson); grandsons, Daniel Herrington and Clinton McGaughey; granddaughter, Katie McGaughey; granddaughter, Brittany Kinley; several nieces, nephews and extended family. He will be missed most of all by his beloved companion, Dozer.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:45pm Friday, December 14, 2012 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Ken Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors.
Active Pallbearers will be the Pensacola Fire Department Honor Guard.
