Paul F. Flounlacker, Sr., 86, of Pensacola, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday December 20, 2012.
He was born on September 12, 1926 in Manhattan, N.Y. Paul was a graduate of Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y. He served as a New York City policeman and our country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. Paul enjoyed playing golf, tennis and racquetball and was a huge fan of the New York Giants. Paul worked in the car business for nearly 45 years.
Paul is survived by his beautiful wife, Betty and seven children, Terry Yarbrough (Mike) of Pace, Susan Morrison (Steve) of Dothan, AL, Jerry Flanigan (Jennifer) of Sanford, Paul Flounlacker, Jr. (Dee) of Pensacola, Julie Brackin of Pensacola, Mike Flounlacker (Stephanie) of Pensacola and John Flanigan of Pensacola. Paul was blessed with nine grandchildren, Jason, Tigress, Michael, Amber, Jonathan, Keith, Alex, Douglas, Chris, and Paul; as well as two great grandchildren, Briggs and Kyleigh.
The family gives special thanks to the nurses and staff in CCU at West Florida Hospital and Covenant Hospice.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504.
Memorial Service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel. His remains will be placed in a service at Barrancas National Cemetery at 9:30am Friday, December 28, 2012.
