Quimby Elaine Bonner, 76, of Pensacola, FL was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 1, 2013.
Quimby was born in Lynn, MA on May 14, 1936. As a gifted artist and designer she created beauty all around her. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother and had many close friends. Pensacola Beach held a special place in her heart and she was a resident there for many years. She was a talented singer and enjoyed performing with the Pensacola Senior Follies beginning with their inaugural year. Quimby was a member of St. Mark Methodist Church for over 40 years and sang in the choir.
She is preceded in death by her mother and adoptive father, Thelma L. and C. Clifford Lawrence and her birth father, Willis Quimby.
Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Dr. Curtis R. Bonner and her daughter, Lynn Jackson (Jerald) and son, Drew Bonner; grandson, Alex and two granddaughters, Jessica and Victoria; her siblings, Lois Peterson (Kenneth), Robert Quimby (Lynn), Clyde (Donna), Lee (Maryanne), Gary Poirier (Mary) and Jackie Ponushis; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held 11:00am Saturday, January 5, 2013 at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 12th Ave. with Rev. Nancy Watson and Rev. Jim Rush officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the St. Mark United Methodist Church Choir, 2203 N. 12th Ave, Pensacola, FL 32503.
