Richard Wayne Wills, 73, of Pensacola, died Monday, April 29, 2013.
Mr. Wills was born September 25, 1939 to Franklin Martin Wills and Josephine Fleming Wills. He was a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola, graduating in 1957 from Pensacola High School. With his love for horses, Mr. Wills began working for Holland Stables at the age of twelve, where he exchanged work for stabling and tack fees. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. In 1999, he retired from Sterling Fiber Solutions after 36 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mr. Wills was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Milton.
Mr. Wills was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Franklin Martin Wills, Jr., Marshall Wills and John Wills.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Wills; daughters, Terri Wills Hallock (David), Tami Wills Newton and Regina Wills Wheelus (David); stepchildren, Jeff Furth (Susie), Cynthia Booker (Scott) and Barbara Sims (Mal); grandchildren, Richard K. Bankich, Jr., Chelsea Nicole Newton, Lindsey Wills-Vertz, Kyle Z. Wills, McKenzie Wheelus, Jordan Wheelus, Chandler Holden, Haley Turner, Charles Taylor, Allen Booker, Carmela Cook and Raymond Moorman .
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 03, 2013 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel with the Reverend M. Kathryn Knight officiating followed by a reception.
Interment will be at Bayview Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 02, 2013 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Milton, 6830 Berryhill St., Milton, FL 32570.
