Roma Nall Henn Sorensen, age 93, of Pensacola, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012.

Roma was born on October 11, 1918 in Milton, Florida. She grew up in Jay and graduated from Jay High School. Roma lived most of her life in Florida primarily in Pensacola, Ft Lauderdale, and Palm Beach. She also lived in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Annapolis, Maryland. For most of her career she was a hair stylist and operated her own beauty salon in the International Hotel in Fort Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida.

Roma was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Green Berry and Orla Pearl Johnston Nall; her siblings, Emmett Nall, Nadine Hinson, Velma Hesler, Norma Collins, Rubye Anderson, and Parks Trammel Nall; and her granddaughter, Jessica Butts Martineau.

Roma is survived by her children, Jane Krick and Valeria Mahood of Pensacola, Cathy Butts (Donald) of Ponce de Leon, Florida, and Robert Henn of Columbus Georgia; her grandchildren, Kathy Krick Brown (Rob) of North Port, Florida, Bill Krick (Stephanie) of Orlando, Florida, Sarah Krick Masters (Scott) of Ft Worth, Texas, Daniel Butts (Ansley) of Winter Park, Florida, Emily Mahood Bowman (Jeffrey) of Clawson, Michigan, and Matthew Mahood of Pensacola; and nine great grandchildren.

Roma will be especially remembered as a colorful, unique woman with a great sense of humor, a creative imagination, and a spirit of adventure. She was fun loving and kept her family and friends laughing with her outrageous stories. Roma also loved to travel and Paris, France, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Fairbanks, Alaska were among her favorite places to visit.

A private family service will be held graveside at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 21, at Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Allentown, Florida. Lewis Funeral Home of Milton, Florida is officiating.

Roma's family extends a heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and employees of the Specialty Center for their kind and loving care of Roma and the tremendous amount of support they provided these past 9 years.
