Ruth Jernigan Obituary
Mrs. Jernigan was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jack D. Jernigan; four brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by two sons, Dale (Cynthia) Jernigan, of Mobile, AL and Dennis Jernigan, of Milton, FL; four grandsons, Mickey A. Jernigan, of Milton, FL, John Russell Jernigan, of Mobile, AL, Christopher Scott Jernigan, of Sill, OK, and Jack Clinton Jernigan, of Milton, FL; one great-grandson, Silas Jernigan, of Milton, FL; one brother, James M. Lambert, of Pearl River, NY; and one sister, Bernice Smith, of Pensacola, FL.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Jernigan, John R. Jernigan, Christopher S. Jernigan, Jack C. Jernigan, Ken Jernigan, and Leon Morris.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jernigan will be 10:00 AM, Monday, August 16, 2010 at Chumuckla Community Church-South Campus( formerly Elizabeth Chapel Church) with Rev. Clive Knights officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabeth Chapel Community Cemetery with Lewis Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Sunday, August 15, 2010 at Lewis Funeral Home, Milton Chapel.

It was an honour for me to meet Mrs. Ruth Jernigan and her husband. I know they raised a fine son, Dennis..and, even though they are missed, at last they get to be together in their home with Jesus...where there is no more pain or suffering..May they rest in peace.
