Sharon Bell, 71, of Gulf Breeze, died August 20, 2013, under the care of Emerald Coast Hospice. Sharon Hirman was born August 4, 1942, in Chicago, IL. Later her family moved to Rochester, MN. She was a graduate of Lourdes High School, attended Mount Marty College in Yankton, SD, and later worked in Denver, CO, where she met and married Warren Bell in 1966. Warren passed away in 1966 and in 1998 Sharon moved to Gulf Breeze.
Sharon enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching NFL football, walks on the beach, going to movies and playing games with her girlfriends. She was an avid reader. She was always planning where her next vacation would be.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Warren Bell and her mother, Margueritte Hirman.
Survivors include her daughter Raquel McDougald (James), four grandchildren and one great granddaughter, all residing in Mesa, AZ, her father A. William Hirman of Rochester, MN and sisters Kay Sheehan (John) of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Martha Smith (Charles) of Pace.
A Memorial Mass for Sharon will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze on Friday, August 30, at 12:30 PM, with Monsignor Hunt officiating. Burial will be next to her husband at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice, 1555 North Palafox St., Pensacola, FL 32501. Family-Funeral & Cremation is handling arrangements.
