Thomas P. Cherberg

1920-2012

Thomas P. Cherberg, 91, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012. He was born on August 9, 1920 in Pensacola and has lived in Pensacola his entire life. Thomas served in the U. S. Navy during WW II. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service as a letter carrier in the Pensacola area. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, dancing with his wife, Mary and spending time with family, friends and neighbors.

Thomas was preceded in death by a son, Michael Edward Cherberg; his mother, Mary Denise Brown and step-father Oscar Brown.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Mary T. (Yniestra) Cherberg; son Richard T. Cherberg (Joanne); granddaughters, Kim Cherberg and Amy Gomez (Nick); great-granddaughter, Kora Perkins and faithful dog, Boo.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, immediately followed by funeral services at 11:00am at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, 2276 Airport Blvd, Pensacola, FL. (850) 478-3292. Burial will be follow at Bayview Memorial Park, 3351 Scenic Hwy, Pensacola, FL.

Active Pallbearers will be Nick Gomez, Charlie Booher, Chip Gordon, Mitch Gardner, Harvey Gibbs and John Cuccarollo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 2001 N. Palafox St. Pensacola, FL 32501

The family wishes to give Special Thanks to Dr. Jack Lurton, Baptist Hospital Radiation Therapy Department, Covenant Hospice, Susan Cherberg, Henry Crenshaw, Charlie Booher, Sheron Autrey (Leroy Emmons), Chip Gordon, Carol Gardner (Mitch) and Dot McVoy.
